2015-2016 Strategic Planning
DMGS commenced strategic planning during its first academic year, 2015-2016. As a new institution with a small faculty and staff, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness was charged with the development of a strategic plan that could lead the way in developing a graduate school worthy of accreditation. Guided by the original Fourteen Standards of Excellence of the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, a Strategic Planning Taskforce was formed consisting of all DMGS employees and selected students to participate in a series of meetings designed to explain the purpose and content of the strategic planning process and MSCHE accreditation standards.

During the next two academic years, 2016-2018, the Strategic Planning Taskforce developed a more robust process. The DMGS Mission Statement was revised twice, institutional strategic goals were revised, and all operational and budgetary departments were included in a more comprehensive strategic planning activities.

2018-2019 Strategic Plan
During AY 2018-2019, DMGS was in The Strategic Planning Task Force (SPT) takes direction from the President, the Senior Executive Council (SEC), and the Academic Affairs Council (AAC) to facilitate the strategic planning process. The institution pursues fulfilling its Mission through a strategic planning process for planning, budgeting, institutional and program learning outcomes assessment, and administrative departmental services outcomes review. The Strategic Planning Taskforce develops the strategic plan to achieve the graduate school’s mission and forecast needs for institutional change in ways that DMGS implements needed improvements to its programs and functions.
