At the Daniel Morgan Graduate School, we take your career as seriously as you do. We have an experienced Vice President of Enrollment Management and Career Programs, Jacqueline Linde, who offers highly personalized career counseling and assists students with resume, cover letter and interview preparation.

Jacqueline works closely with students to develop a Professional Development Action Plan to help them achieve their career goals. DMGS sees this as the final and very important step in launching students into top positions to fulfill the School’s mission to prepare future leaders.

A Personal Approach
Students begin their career journey as soon as they arrive on campus as part of New Student Orientation. Through the DMGS Professional Development Program students will meet with our Career Coach to understand their aspirations and learn about career options in national security. They will begin to set goals and will be encouraged to pursue internships throughout their graduate studies with a view toward obtaining valuable work experience and in many cases, the security clearance required for future employment.
DMGS offers one on one career counseling throughout the year and students can benefit from a series of workshops focusing on assessing and building their skills and strengths.
As a part of a Career Development Action Plan that will help them prepare for success in their chosen field, DMGS students will receive highly personalized assistance throughout. This includes individual coaching, refining their resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles, as well as honing their interview preparation and salary negotiation skills.
Innovative Career Networking
The School’s Career Connections Networking Series is designed to bring students together with national security professionals from federal agencies, Congress, nonprofit organizations, think tanks, and government contractors. Lively panel discussions on careers in national security are followed by a reception where students are encouraged to engage panelists individually to improve networking skills and hone their “elevator speech”.
DMGS students have made valuable connections through these events that have led to internship and employment opportunities.

Jacqueline McLaughlin Linde is a nationally recognized thought leader in the field of Career Management. Her extensive background in higher education includes creating the Office of Career Programs for the Graduate School of Political Management (GSPM) at George Washington University and ten years in senior management at American University in Washington, D.C.
Jacqueline served as the Assistant Dean for Marketing, Admissions and Outreach for the School of Public Affairs at American University where she launched the Master’s Degree in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy. She also met or exceeded ambitious enrollment goals for nine graduate programs including Public Policy, Political Science and Public Administration.
Jacqueline is the Vice President of Enrollment Management and Career Programs at the Daniel Morgan Graduate School where she oversees Admissions, Student Services and Career Development.
