The Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security and the National Sheriffs’ Association (NSA) convened key stakeholders on May 3rd in W Washington D.C. for a discussion seeking solutions to combat and defeat the national opioid crisis. The many facets of opiod use present far-reaching challenges to law enforcement, first responders and healthcare providers and has significant national security implications. This event mirrored similar events NSA has hosted in the deeply affected states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana. DMGS Dean of Graduate Studies Dr. Steven Meyer provided opening remarks.
