Daniel Morgan Graduate School (DMGS) hosted a special event for our students on November 26 organized by Jackie Linde, our career services counselor. Jackie draws on her years of experience in career management consultancy offering clients one-on-one counseling on professional development to help students formulate their own career development strategies.

DMGS Assistant Professor of Managing Disruption and Violence (MDV), Gary Ross, provided practical insights into navigating the Federal Hiring Process gained during his career with the federal government. During his  25-year  career in federal law enforcement, Gary conducted and supervised criminal, counterintelligence and counter-terrorism investigations and operations for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Professor Ross exemplifies the caliber of our scholar-practitioner faculty, who offer our students remarkable insight into the national security and intelligence fields. Jackie Linde continues to be instrumental in advising our students on how to optimize and take advantage of the many high-profile events and presentations that occur at DMGS so that they can become valuable networking opportunities. Our current students and recent graduates work for organizations directly aligned with our graduate programs through positions held within federal agencies, think tanks, nonprofit organizations and government contractors. Employers include: The Department of State, the Defense Intelligence Agency, Federal Air Marshalls, Department of Defense, the International Association of Police Chiefs, and the RAND Corporation.
