Summary:

The United States does not today have a missile defense that is adequate to stop a North Korean missile attack. Our limited system in Alaska and California has shown little reliability in a variety of tests. In the face of this, a new missile defense system employing Remotely Piloted Aircraft with Boost Phase Interceptors (RPA-BPI) is being debated that could negate a North Korean launch. Brian Kennedy and Michael Del Rosso, both of the American Strategy Group, came to Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security on Tuesday to discuss this system and its strategic ramifications.
