IDEAL LOCATION
“Being in DC, magic happens outside the classroom. We meet the people that we only read about previously. We effectively meet history here.”

Our Modern Facility in the Heart of DC
The Daniel Morgan Graduate School is intentionally located at the heart of downtown Washington, DC, just three blocks from the White House. This enables DMGS students to study near some of the most prominent members of the national security community, including think tanks, the FBI, CIA, NSA, State Department and Pentagon. This also enhances our school’s ability to bring in experts to talk to our students and to facilitate student interaction, internships, networking and job opportunities with key people and organizations.
Whether it be the lively culture, the outstanding career and networking opportunities, or the rich history of the city, our DC location is unrivaled. Washington, DC is a career-oriented city that is frequently listed as one of the ten best U.S. cities for young professionals.
Our proximity to the Library of Congress, the National Archives, and the headquarters of many NGOs, embassies, institutes, and foundations enables students to research virtually any national security-related question. Students also have the freedom to experience and take part in many exciting cultural, intellectual, and political events and activities.
Students living in the DMV (DC, Maryland, Virginia) area are able to easily commute to campus thanks to the nearby Farragut North (Red Line) and Farragut West (Orange, Blue, and Silver Lines) Metro Stops.
Fall 2017 Renovations
As one of the premier graduate schools in the national security field, DMGS seeks to ensure that its facilities continue to serve students in the most effective manner possible. Our 2017 renovation project has updated all aspects of our campus.
Our classrooms have been redesigned to work with both lecture and seminar-style environments with glass whiteboards, wireless presentation, and modular classroom configurations. The faculty and admissions wing has also been renovated to better facilitate interactions between staff and students, allowing for more privacy and collaboration. The entire campus has been modernized with new paint and art designed to make DMGS an even more pleasant place to work, study, network, and grow.
DMGS is excited to unveil a brand new student lounge with dedicated study booths for collaborative work environments, a pool table, kitchenette, and sitting area. The lounge portion will give students increased space to host events or to just relax. DMGS is committed to ensuring its facilities and amenities remain consistent with the 21st century vision of our master’s programs.
