James Anibal, M.S.S.I., is a member of Daniel Morgan Graduate School of National Security’s adjunct faculty.
Anibal is also currently serves as a senior analyst in support of the Foreign Denial and Deception Committee as part of the National Intelligence Council, ODNI.
Anibal previously served twenty-one years in the U.S. army attaining the rank of major. His expertise is well-honed through his extensive career in the intelligence field. His experience includes work for the Department of the Army and with combatant command, numbered corps, and tactical level units of division and below. During his time as a strategic intelligence officer for the XVIII Airborne Corps, James integrated the intelligence battlefield operating system into the Military Decisions Making Process and effects-based planning/operations (EBO) to support exercises and real-world contingency missions.
As Chief of the Multi-National Corps – Iraq (MNC-I) intelligence team, Anibal conducted independent threat based assessments and provided threat reaction/vulnerability studies and foreign knowledge briefings in support of counterterrorism and counterinsurgency operations.
Anibal also supported the National Intelligence University for nine years through the continued development and instruction of course material in support of their Denial and Deception Advanced Studies Program, Foreign Denial and Deception Committee (FDDC). As a faculty member, he developed denial and deception related briefings and analysis in support of training and outreach programs conducted by the FDDC.
Anibal holds a Master’s of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University with a concentration in denial and deception as well as a Master’s in Land Warfare from the American Military University. He is also a graduate of the Denial and Deception Advanced studies program sponsored by the FDDC and received his Bachelor’s from the United States Military Academy.
